Let's face it: you know it's faster, and you already know the apps it runs. The biggest feature of the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
— any new iPhone, really — is the camera. The 7 gets a 12 megapixel
camera with optical image stabilization and a brighter f/1.8,
six-element lens. Both models get a 7 megapixel FaceTime camera, but
only the Plus gets the dual 12 megapixel camera system. One side has a
wide-angle 28mm lens, while the second has a 56mm lens; this pairing
allows for 2x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom, and a new Portrait mode
that provides DSLR-like bokeh. The phones are also IP67 water and dust
resistant, have solid-state home buttons that replicate clicks with the
Taptic engine, get stereo speakers, lose the headphone jack in favor of
wireless and Lightning 'phones (don't worry, an adapter is in the box),
and a 25% brighter display with cinema-standard wide color gamut.
Available in a high-gloss Jet Black, matte Black, as well as standard
silver, gold, and rose gold finishes.
