For years, the iMac has served as the gold standard of all-in-one desktops. The new HP Envy AIO 27 Desktop makes a strong argument for the title. Instead of trying to cram all its electronics behind the screen, the Envy lays them out in a slim rectangular box that helps to support the thin-framed 27-inch display that floats atop a metal stand. Spec-wise, it can hold up to 16GB of RAM, is powered by 6th-gen Intel Core processors, has SSD-based storage, optional Nvidia graphics to help power the Quad HD display, Bang & Olufsen audio, and, for the paranoid among you, a combo HD camera and mic that pop-up when needed and hide behind the display when they're not.
